Alessandra Klück & John Kaphingst Art Exhibit

Please join us for an art exhibit featuring

Alessandra Klück and John Kaphingst.

Alessandra Klück

It is not only the buzzing sound of music or the silk screened color on paper that has found its place in the city of Milwaukee, a region long venerated for its eclectic art and style. From the visual attraction of the Midwest landscape to strong sense of community, the outcome is a harvest of efforts, artists: in and around the city of Milwaukee that make a difference and who call this place home. She has photographed these subjects within their carefully sculpted living spaces, whether that be their home, artist studio or work space, in the hopes to express a deeper connection, not only of that environment which inspires each of these artists, but where the inspiration and imagination converge. She calls this the "Daydream Series."

Alessandra Klück is a graduate of the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design with a BFA in printmaking. She has lived and worked in and around the city of Milwaukee for many years. Her work has covered an array of media: printmaking methods–linoleum, intaglio, silkscreen, lithography and wood cuts, as well as mixed media, ceramics and photographs. On display will be a mixed media piece and a photo project that has spanned three years, entitled, "Daydream" as a slide show, as well as specific pieces from that series. www.alessandrakluck.com

John Kaphingst

Photographer John Kaphingst shares images that span from Milwaukee to Beijing, exploring the beauty and complexity of moments most often overlooked. John's ability to find inspiration in urban settings–subways, alleys and city streets, makes for a gritty and intricate visual experience.
